Dr. Abi Michels is from Baldwin City, Kansas, and graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center with her Doctor of Audiology in 2020. She completed her residency with Professional Hearing Center and has clinical experience in hospital, veteran and pediatric settings. Dr. Michels sees patients of all ages and communication needs. Her areas of clinical interest include aural rehabilitation, cognitive screenings, auditory brainstem testing and pediatric audiology.
Dr. Michels was first introduced to audiology through her personal experience supporting family members with hearing and communication challenges. This experience inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others improve their quality of life.
Dr. Michels volunteers for Lend an Ear, a non-profit organization that dispenses hearing aids to pediatric, hospice and palliative care patients. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with loved ones in her spare time.
